First Week

I gotta feeling…
That tonight’s gonna be a good night.
That tonight’s gonna be a good, good night!

That’s how our first week here in Hamburg started.

In this week, we met lot of other Erasmus students, people from all over the Europe, people of lots of different cultures and traditions, besides a group of very special people that we met in the residence tour and also in our first day at the University.
In the first day, we went to the welcome reception of the university and then we went to do shopping in order to fill up our apartments with everything from food to hygienic products that we needed.
In the next day we started to go out. We went out lot of times. Basically it was party every night. Amazing! 
There was a night of a Barbecue in the residence which was super cool.
We ate german sausages and kartoffelnsalat for dinner and then we went to the Paul Sudeck ‘s Bar, where we had lot of fun and we totally let ourselves loose.

There was another memorial night: The Night of Reeperbahn!
We went to the most shocking and devastating part of Hamburg.
Here everybody was drunk and violent. There was sex shops, strip bars and desperate prostitutes everywhere.
It was really scary and obscure. The true Subworld of Hamburg.
After that night, came the weekend and here, we decided to rest and to visit another little bit of the center of the city and try a frapuccino of Starbucks, with this cold and freezing time, which was a bit unwise and crazy from us.

But what would we be without a little bit of insanity in our lives?

It would be really boring. Wouldn’t it?
